Today I went to my favorite coffee importer Keffa Coffee Importers in Baltimore. We talked about the many different tasty coffee’s coming in soon. We also tasted a fantastic Colombian Geisha Natural Process coffee. I was able to purchase a small amount of this wonderful variety.

Finca Esperanza altitude is 1,750-1,800m in Piajo, Quindio. Jairo Ivan Lopez is a civil engineer who decided to change all of castillo varieties at his farms after he tried Gesha from Panama for the first time. Jairo Ivan has been growing coffee for 20 years. For the last two years, he has been focused on the specialty market.

This micro lot is 100% Gesha. This varietal was fist discovered in Absinia, Ethiopia in 1931. Gesha was then planted in Panama for the first time in 1963 and in Colombia in 2005.
