This Tanzania Peaberry is a washed Bourbon/Typica varietal from the Mbeya region. This Mutwari produced coffee comes from 50 individual small hold farmers. Grown at 1,150 – 2,000 meters you will find a balanced acidity, and medium body, with flavors and aromas of toast, cream, and lemon. FRESH ROASTED!!

A peaberry (also called caracol, or “snail” in Spanish) is a natural mutation of the coffee bean inside its cherry. Normally coffee beans grow two to a fruit, flat against each other like halves of a peanut, but a funny thing happens in about 5% of the world’s coffee, and a bean is born an only child.
